Pokemon Cheat, worked in Ruby and Fire red, does it work in Diamond?

In ruby and Fire red, at the start menu, you could have done new game and if you didn't save, you would have been able to return to your old file. I don't know if you could do that in pokemon diamond, and I don't want to risk it. Can anyone try it for me? Just don't save and turn it off, and tell me if it works!

In Diamond, the new game option is a bit different. You can start a new game, and it won't delete your old file, but you can't save the new game unless, before creating it, you delete your old file (the game gives you instructions on how to do so before starting a new game).

So basically, yes, if you start a new game, you can still return to your old file.
